24 Teeth Horse Clipper Blade High Carbon Steel Hardness Grooming Shear Blade

Horse Clipper Blade Description

The 24 Teeth High Carbon Steel Horse Clipper Blade is professional equine grooming tool engineered for precise, efficient hair trimming, ideal for both horse owners and professional groomers. Made from premium high carbon steel with a hardness rating of HRC60-63, this blade delivers exceptional durability and long-lasting sharpness, resisting wear even after frequent use on thick equine coats. Its unique design pairs a 24tooth cutter with an 18 tooth comb, creating a balanced cutting system that glides through hair without pulling or snagging, while the approximate 3 mm cutting height achieves a neat, natural-looking finish.

Compatible with most standard horse clipper brands, this blade is good to handle daily grooming tasks, from maintaining pasture horses’ coats to prepping for casual events. The high carbon steel construction also offers corrosion resistance, protecting against rust in damp barn environments, and its precision-ground edges ensure consistent cuts across every use. Whether you’re trimming manes, tidying body coats, or touching up hard-to-reach areas, this 24 teeth horse clipper blade combines reliability, comfort, and performance to elevate your equine care routine.

24 Teeth Horse Clipper Blade with 18 Teeth Comb and 3 mm Cutting Height for Professional Equine Grooming

Horse Clipper Blade Application

Everyday Pasture Horse Grooming:

Maintain a tidy, natural-looking coat for pasture horses with the 3 mm cutting height—keeps horses comfortable without overly short trims.

Mane & Tail Touch-Ups

The 24-tooth cutter’s smooth action trims unruly mane or tail hair without fraying, creating a polished but not overly styled look.

Casual Equine Events

Prep horses for local shows, trail rides, or barn open days—achieves a neat appearance that’s appropriate for non-competitive events.

Thick Winter Coat Transition

Trim excess winter coat in early spring to help horses adjust to warmer weather; the 3 mm height retains enough hair for mild temperature protection.

Senior Horse Grooming

Gentle cutting action and 3 mm height are ideal for senior horses with sensitive skin—avoids irritation while keeping their coats clean and manageable.

How to properly replace the horse hair blade?

Works for most standard clippers (Andis, Oster, Wahl) compatible with this blade.
1. Prep & Safety
Gather: New 24 teeth blade, dry cloth, clipper oil , small screwdriver
Must-do: Turn off/unplug clipper (remove battery for cordless) to avoid accidents.
2. Remove Old Blade
Latch clippers: Press latches on both sides of blade housing → lift old blade. Wiggle gently if stuck.
Screw clippers: Loosen 2–3 screws (don’t remove fully) → lift blade. Store screws safely.
3. Clean Clipper Housing
Wipe loose debris with dry cloth.
Scrub stuck hair with soft brush (toothbrush/clipper brush).
Avoid water/harsh cleaners (protect motor); use a little clipper cleaner if needed.
4. Install New Blade
Align blade notches with clipper slots (18-tooth comb faces down, toward horse).
Latch clippers: Press blade until latches “click” → tug to confirm it’s secure.
Screw clippers: Place blade → reinsert screws, tighten firmly (don’t over-tighten). Check for gaps.
5. Test & Lubricate
Test: Turn on clipper (low speed) → run blade over paper/towel. It should cut smoothly (no noise/pulling). Realign if needed.
Lubricate: Add 1–2 drops of oil between 24-tooth cutter and 18-tooth comb → run clipper 10–15 secs. Wipe excess oil.
6. Final Check
Lightly touch blade edges (careful—sharp!) to ensure no burrs/misalignment. Recheck installation if rough.

Quick Tips
Replace dull blades every 2–6 months to prevents hair pulling.
Store spare blades in dry, cool place to protect high carbon steel from rust.
Check clipper manual for brand-specific alignment help.
